Sun Peaks offers plenty of activties in August

SUN PEAKS — It’s hard to believe the official summer season is nearly half over. The August long weekend means there’s only one month until the kiddies head back to school. If you’re looking for a family getaway for a weekend, or an escape from the city for just a day, Sun Peaks Resort is a quick trip and offers plenty of options for family fun or a relaxing weekend away.

According to Kyle Taylor, with Tourism Sun Peaks, the summer has been a success at the resort, with plenty of activity on the mountain.

According to Taylor, there’s plenty of action still left on the schedule at the mountain in the month of August, starting this weekend, with the Alpine Blossom Festival and continuing until the Labour Day long weekend.
