Alouettes bring back receiver Cody Hoffman, who was cut in training camp

MONTREAL — Receiver Cody Hoffman, who was released by the Montreal Alouettes during training camp after failing his medical exam, has been added to the practice roster, the CFL club announced Friday.

The six-foot-four, 210-pound Hoffman caught six passes for 104 yards in four games last season.

The Crescent City, Calif., native is Brigham Young University’s all-time leader in receptions (248), receiving yards (3,445) and touchdown catches (33). He can also return kicks.

The Alouettes released receiver Chandler Jones.
