KAMLOOPS — The bail hearing for 39-year-old Kristopher Teichrieb wrapped up at the Kamloops Courthouse this morning.

Teichrieb is charged with attempted murder after allegedly assaulting 19-year-old Jessie Simpson with a bat outside his Brocklehurst home on June 19. The incident left Simpson on life support.

Teichrieb’s parents were in the courtroom as the hearing entered a second day and later stated that the process had been difficult on them, saying there are two families involved.
