KAMLOOPS — The city starts work on the Westsyde Pool refurbishing this week.

The City is spending almost 3 million dollars to repair the Westsyde facility, in a controversial move made earlier this year in reaction to public backlash over the possible closure of the facility.

Westsyde residents had protested the potential closure, which City staff was advocating in favor of a new pool facility located on McArthur Island.

As of 10:00 AM this Friday, the entire community centre will be shut down to the public.
