KAMLOOPS — If you’ve had your bicycle stolen in the past, this may be of interest.

Police found a bicycle graveyard on the North Shore this afternoon (July 13).

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says an officer noticed a bicycle-riding man who was believed to have a warrant.

Shelkie says the officer tracked the man to the backyard of a home on Nelson Avenue, and that’s where the discovery was made.

“In the backyard, he noted that there were quite a few old and dilapidated bicycle frames. There were 11 frames that were found located in the backyard,” explained Sheklie, adding “People that live in the residence there said that they don’t know who the frames belong to, and they just found them abandoned.”

If the bikes were stolen, the owners shouldn’t expect to get them back in one piece.

Shelkie says the frames had been stripped of parts and will be delivered to the City of Kamloops by-law department.
