KAMLOOPS —  The Seattle Studs defended their Kamloops International Baseball title yesterday, but it wasn’t without a fight. Studs scored in the bottom of the 10th inning to take a hard-fought 5-4 decision over the Langley Blaze in the tournament final.

The Blaze went into the game at 3-2, while the Studs had not lost a game, but Langley gave the Studs all they could handle, tying the game at 4 apiece in the 6th, before the extra-inning win.

Taylor Thompson was the winning pitcher, coming in for the last two innings of relief.  The Studs took a 4-1 lead early in the game, but the Blaze kept chipping away, eventually tying the game in the 6th, and setting up the exciting finale.
