Homes catch fire on Indian Arm near Vancouver

VANCOUVER — Fire inspectors searching for the cause of a fire this morning that destroyed one home and may have destroyed a second.

According to Global News, the fire broke out early this morning in Brighton Beach, Indian Arm, near Belcarra.

One home is completely destroyed.

A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue Services for the District of North Vancouver says the first 9-1-1 call came in at 5:40 a.m. about a fire in a home under construction.

The fire spread to a neighbouring home and then into the surrounding trees.

No cause determined yet, but fortunately noone was hurt.

Fire crews are on scene now and as this area is only accessible by boat, Vancouver’s Fireboat was called in to help.
