Driver strikes pole, causes Brocklehurst power outage

KAMLOOPS — A young male driver is being investigated for impaired driving after crashing into a utility pole early this morning, June 25.
Kamloops RCMP responded to the crash at approximately 3:15 a.m., near the 2300 block of Parkcrest Ave.
The crash caused a power outage in the Brocklehurst area from Singh Street west towards the airport.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor and the driver is also being investigated for driving contrary to his restrictions.
