KAMLOOPS — The man accused of trying to kill a teenaged boy he found on his Brocklehurst property last Sunday has had his bail hearing put over until Monday, June 27.

39 year old Kris Teichrieb is charged with attempted murder.

RCMP say 19 year old Jessie Simpson was badly beaten with a baseball bat early Sunday, near the corner of Clifford Avenue and Holt Street.

Simpson remains in Royal Inland Hospital on life support.

An update on a Go-Fund-Me page around noon on Thursday, June 23, stated “There are no words to express the feelings I have today. I am so grateful to each and every one of you! The support and love that everyone has shared with Jessie and his family is truly amazing. I’m so proud to be a part of this beautiful community. And Jessie even though he can’t tell us in his own words but I believe he can feel the strength, love and support he has to help him through this. Keep on praying, keep on hoping. And never stop trying!”
