KELOWNA — The season is over for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team. The WolfPack finished the 2016 Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference playoffs with a 1-3 record.  This followed a  12-10 win over the host Okanagan College Coyotes and a 9-7 defeat at the hands of the University of Calgary Dinos on Saturday (May 14).

A number of TRU players will stay in Kamloops over the summer to play with the Kamloops Sun Devils in either the junior or senior leagues. Others will spend the summer playing for various teams in the Western Major Baseball League.

Prairie Baseball Academy scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to defeat the Okanagan Coyotes 5-4 in the championship game.

It’s the sixth consecutive CCBC title for PBA.
