VERNON, B.C. — BC wildfire crews are taking action on a small wildfire in the Oyama area.

Wildfire Information officer Ryan Turcot tells Kiss FM, it’s 1.5 hectares and 3 km’s west of Oyama.

A crew of seven is working to contain and mop up the fire, which is believed to be lightning caused.

“It’s highly visible due to the smoke, but no properties are at risk,” says Turcot.
