KAMLOOPS — Police were busy this morning in Kamloops, executing search warrants at two problem residences on the North Shore.

In a news release Kamloops RCMP stated they seized a variety of drugs, including crack cocaine, powder cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

Six individuals were arrested during the operation, with one 41 year old male remaining in custody. Charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended for this individual.

“Any time drugs are removed from the streets it makes our community safer,” stated Cpl. Jodi Shelkie in a news release. “The work of these RCMP officers in identifying, targeting and arresting the people who supply drugs will have an impact on all citizens.”

Multiple police resources were used in this operation, including the emergency response team.
