Firework false alarm leads to arrest

KAMLOOPS — Lighting off a firework wasn’t the wisest move for the occupants of a 13th Street home this morning.

RCMP were called to the home just before noon because a neighbour thought a gun had been fired.

While the origin of the noise was just a firework, investigators found some other people they had been looking for.

RCMP say one of the eight occupants had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.

Another in the group had some methamphetamine, which was seized by officers.
