KAMLOOPS — Hundreds will gather at the Tournament Capital Centre on Sunday for the annual Investors Group Walk for Memories.

Alzheimer's societies across the country are coming together to raise funds and awareness.

For the time the signature event will be held on May 1, coinciding with a nation-wide movement

The hope this year is to raise 100-thousand dollars.

Right now in B.C. more than 70-thousand people are living with Alzheimer's disease, several of those are under the age of 65.

The Alzheimer's Society says early detection is key, and is hoping to raise that awareness this weekend.

The Investors Group Walk for Memories will take place at the Tournament Capital Centre on Sunday. Registration begins at 9am and the walk gets underway at 10:30am.
