KAMLOOPS — A public meeting is planned for tonight to allow people to have their say when it comes to the future of education in the Kamloops/Thompson area.

School District 73 is in the process of developing a strategic plan.

Superintendant Karl deBruijn says the school district has been meeting with unions, employees, and parent advisory councils all week to begin that process.

He says they now want to invite the public into the conversation.

"We value the opinion of people, and we will use all the information we've collected from all of our groups to help set some very broad, strategic goals," said deBruijn.

The meeting is being held at the Henry Grube Education Centre at 7 tonight, April 28.
