KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating an early morning vehicle fire in Kamloops.

Steve Kilmartin with Kamloops Fire Rescue said fire crews were dispatched to a field behind residences on Argyle Ave. near the airport at 5:16 Saturday morning.

Kilmartin said a van was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The fire was quickly extinguished and RCMP took over the scene.

No one was injured, but area residents said they woke up to a lot of noise.
