KAMLOOPS — Two days after learning that 81% of the faculty at Thompson Rivers University have no confidence in school administration, the chair of the TRU Board of Governors says it’s time to find solutions that will satisfy both parties.

Paul Dagg says the recent vote speaks loudly about the faculty’s lack of confidence in administration. But dagg says he’s puzzled over TRUFA’s concern that they don’t have any input on university decisions.

“They have a lot of input,” says Dagg. “Our Senate, which is one of the three main governing bodies and the one with the responsibility for academic programming, has 43 members, and 22 are faculty members. The budget committee, which is an important committee of Senate, has 20 members, and 11 are faculty.”
