Fire crews battle Brocklehurst grass fire

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue crews are on scene near the Ord Road dog park this afternoon, tending to a grass fire.

It was first reported at about 4:20, and was said to be burning along a narrow strip adjacent to the CN rail tracks.

Several crews converged on the fire in an effort to extinguish it.

Initial reports stated the narrow strip of fire may be burning as far as a one kilometre stretch between the tracks and Tranquille Road.
