KAMLOOPS — Home sales are up in Kamloops despite there being fewer properties on the market.

President of the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association Katherine Rutherford says residential unit sales were up 28 per cent in March compared to the same time last year. However, Rutherford says inventory is down.

She says the median price for a home in March was $368,000, down from $378,000 in February.

“We’re seeing lots of activity, and our price has come down a bit,” said Rutherford. “I think that’s reflective of those lower priced homes that are selling. It’s a hot price range.”
