Prestigious award for Kamloops physician

KAMLOOPS — An acclaimed Kamloops mental health leader is this year’s recipient of a prestigious award.

Dr. Paul Dagg has been named as the recipient of the Duncan Graham Award, given out by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dagg is the medical director for the Interior Health Authority’s Mental Health and Substance Use program.

He says the Royal College is extremely well-regarded around the world, making the award very special.

“When I look at the list of past winners, there are some pretty impressive people who have won this over the 20 years that it has been awarded,” said Dagg, adding “It’s a pleasure, it’s overwhelming, it’s really good.”
