KAMLOOPS — A local family is devastated today, after cancer claimed their youngest child.

Two-year-old Sawyer Jules died last night after a battle with a brain tumour.

On a Go-Fund-Me page dedicated to Sawyer and his family, the boy's aunt Tiffany revealed his death, saying "his wings were ready but none of us were."

Several fundraisers were held throughout Kamloops while Sawyer was undergoing chemotherapy at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
