KAMLOOPS — A local couple has 500,000 reasons to celebrate after winning big with BCLC.

Jessica Sandry and her boyfriend, Michael Ellis purchased a Lotto Max ticket in Kelowna.

In a new release Michael said “I’m shocked we won because this is only the tenth ticket I have ever bought.”

The duo plans to spend their money by investing in their family's future.

“We don’t plan on buying anything right now,” said Sandry. “We’re going to pay off our mortgage and invest some of the money.”

The lucky ticket was picked up at the Kelowna Husky Market, the couple shares their Maxmillion prize with one other winning ticket.
