KAMLOOPS — The first of three pre-women’s world hockey championship exhibition games in Kamloops will be played tonight (March 24) at McArthur Island when Japan meets the Kamloops Vibe.

There will be two more games on Saturday at the Sandman Centre — Russia against Switzerland and Canada versus Sweden.

Last night in Penticton Team Canada outlasted the Okanagan Hockey Academy Selects 3-2 in shootout.

Meaghan Mikkelson and Mehan Agosta scored for Canada in regulation time with Jennifer Wakefield and Rebecca Johnston hitting the net in the shootout.
