Stolen vehicle tracked, recovered within 20 minutes

KAMLOOPS — Technology helped a man get his stolen vehicle back earlier today.

According to Kamloops RCMP, the man reported his vehicle stolen from a parking lot on Dallas Drive just after 11am this morning (March 17).

The man's smartphone was still in the vehicle, and using an app, he was able to obtain an approximate location.

Mounties moved in on the area of Rogers Way in Aberdeen and spotted the vehicle, where they arrested a suspect.

The whole episode took about 20 minutes.

A 32 year old Cranbrook man faces charges.
