CHASE, B.C. — Police in Edmonton confirm a man charged with second degree murder in a 2011 homicide has been located, living in Chase, under an alias.

61 year old Gordon Shaw was charged in the May 2011 death of Robert Anderson of Edmonton.

Shaw failed to show up to his court date on September 9, 2014 sparking the Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

An investigation led police to determine the accused was living in Chase using the fake name Bob Stenton.

Police say the accused had advertised himself in a local newspaper, as handyman Bob the Builder.

Shaw was arrested in Chase by Kelowna RCMP on Monday.

On Tuesday March 16 he appeared in Kamloops court and was remanded into custody.

Shaw will be taken back to Edmonton where he will await trial.
