KAMLOOPS — A well-respected Lytton community support worker who was convicted of sexual assault and unlawful confinement last year has had an appeal of his convictions dismissed.

Michael Hume was found guilty after shaving the body hair from an unconscious young man in 2013.

He was sentenced to three years in jail.

Hume appealed that the trial judge, BC Supreme Court Justice Sheri Donegan, improperly instructed the jury.
