TRU WolfPack's Pakhomenko player of the year in CIS

BRANDON, MB —This has become a season to remember for Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s volleyball star Iullia Pakhomenko.

The fourth year outside hitter from Donetsk, Ukraine was named the CIS Player of the Year this morning (Mar 10) at the Volleyball Nationals in Brandon, Manitoba.  She was also chosen as a CIS All-Canadian for the second straight year.

Pakhomenko led the nation in kills (425), kills per set (4.67), service aces (50), points per set (5.5) and overall points (496.5).

She was on hand in Brandon to accept the award along with TRU head coach Chad Grimm.
