KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is warning residents about upcoming emergency repairs to the Juniper water booster station.

During the repairs, the city will be conducting tests on the water distribution system.

The testing will take place on Thursday, March 10th between the hours of 8:00 am until approximately 7:00 pm.

Residents in North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview could experience low water pressure, with some increased turbidity.

The city warns that while the water supply may be discoloured due to disturbed deposits in pipes, it is not harmful as the water has been disinfected. Air may also be present in the piping. Running a cold water faucet should eliminate both air and discoloured water problems.
