KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame will be adding Norio Sakaki to its hallowed halls next month.

The soon to be 78-year old Sakaki has been involved in sports in one way or another in Kamloops for close to 50 years.

He remains actively involved in old-timers hockey and slo-pitch — as an athlete, organizer and volunteer.

Sakaki is the first of the individuals to be announced for induction into the Hall of Fame April 9.
