Slow start to the year for building numbers

KAMLOOPS — It’s been a quiet start to the year for the Kamloops building sector.

Numbers released by the City of Kamloops show 11.4-million dollars in building activity last month, bringing the year-to-date total to 15.4-million.

That’s about half of the activity measured at the same time last year.

On the positive side, There have already been 87 residential units started this year, a 55 per cent increase over 2015.
