Two fatalities in early morning crash near Vernon

VERNON, B.C. – RCMP have confirmed there were two fatalities in a single vehicle rollover accident early this morning on Highway 6.

A white 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck with five occupants had been travelling eastbound on Hwy 6 and could not make the curve in the road. The vehicle hit the shoulder and rolled several times.

Two 21 year old female passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. 

A 21 year old male driver from Armstrong is under investigation. There is indication that alcohol and speed could have been a contributing factor.
