Suspicious death in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Prince George RCMP are investigating a suspicious, sudden death.

Mounties were called to a house on the 1100 block of Alward Street late Saturday night. When they arrived they found a woman in medical distress.

The woman was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital where she passed away.

The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit was called in to investigate the suspicious death.

Cpl. Craig Douglass with the Prince George RCMP confirmed the incident was not related to the shooting that took place in Moores Meadow last month or any other per-existing file. Douglass also maintained the public is not at risk.
