The booths were set up in the Campus Activity Centre Today where TRU students got a taste of the jobs available in our community and surrounding areas today.

The low Canadian dollar is proving to have an impact on the tourism sector in the area.

Larry Isles is the Career Counselor at TRU and says, “last year we had half the number of the tourism companies we have this year. It tells me we have more tourism positions, because we have more tourism companies here this year. We have 3 Valley Gap recruiting and Sparkling Hill. It's a really nice indicator."

Students had an array of options for potential work from government jobs, tourism, finance and trades.
