Flipped semi-trailer causes Coquihalla closure

KAMLOOPS — The Coquihalla Highway was closed northbound earlier this morning because of an accident.

Eyewitness reports indicate the accident involved two semis.

No official confirmation from authorities at this point.

Travelers were instructed to detour from Merritt through Highway 5A to Kamloops.

Southbound lanes were affected by the incident, which was near the Surrey Lake Summit.
