VERNON, B.C. — A two vehicle collision on Highway 97 last night around 5 pm near Westwold resulted in one man being flown to Kamloops hospital in serious condition.

Witnesses say a farm tractor collided with a pickup truck, and the Jaws of Life were needed to cut a trapped man out of one vehicle.

He was taken by helicopter to hospital, but no word on his condition, or that of anyone else injured today yet.

The highway remained closed until 10 pm last night as police conducted their investigation.
