CELISTA, B.C. — RCMP want to assure the residents of Celista that a shooting incident in that North Shuswap community on Sunday was not random.

Three people were injured as a result of the shooting.

Neighbours said there has been drug activity at the property where the shooting took place, but Corporal Dan Moskaluk says police don’t want to disclose whether that was involved in this incident.

“We are not at a point of the investigation that we can concretely state what is at play here, what we can state though again is that it was not a random incident, directed at random people. These individuals that were involved in it were known to one another,” said Moskaluk.
