KAMLOOPS — Five teenagers have been arrested and are being investigated for their parts in a break-in at a Westsyde liquor store early Tuesday February 9th.

Police responded to a call at about 12:30 this morning from someone reporting that a man was smashing a window at Starters Liquor Store on Westsyde Road.

Corporal Bush says investigators found a group of young men not far from the scene, and they took off on the approaching officer.

Bush says they were eventually arrested with the help of the police dog.

"Three 19 year olds, an 18 year old, and a 16 year old are all under investigation for their involvement in this incident. One of the 19 year old males suffered a police dog bite for which he was treated and released from Royal Inland Hospital," said Bush.

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with further information to contact them.
