Downtown gas station robbed

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are looking for a suspect in the robbery of a downtown Kamloops gas station Monday night.

According to RCMP, a man entered the Petro Canada station on 10th Avenue at about 9:20 last night, demanding cash and cigarettes.

While he told the clerk he had a gun, none was seen.

Police stormed the area but were unable to find a suspect.

The robber is described as aboriginal, about six feet tall with a thin build.

He was wearing dark clothing at the time, including a jacket bearing a 'Can Am West' logo, and white running shoes.
