Tranquille on the Lake owners looking for foreign buyer

KAMLOOPS — The owners of the Tranquille on the Lake property say in putting the property up for sale, they are not throwing in the towel.

Instead, Development Manager Tim McLeod says it’s the next step in realizing the vision for the property.

McLeod says the company is looking for a foreign investor, and feels now is the time to list the property, considering the relative weakness of the Canadian dollar.

He adds the current owners have consistently told people they are not a development company, but are looking for a development partner.

“We took out the major obstacles in the environmental clean-up, the planning process, et cetera, to bring the project to a shovel ready position, but we’ve just not been successful at finding a Canadian partner, an experienced developer,” said McLeod.

The list price is $15.9 million.

McLeod says the vision for Tranquille includes a residential neighbourhood built around a 300 acre farm.
