Northills Mall security officers bear sprayed

KAMLOOPS — A pair of security officers stopped a suspected thief at Northills Mall yesterday, despite being bear sprayed in the process.

RCMP say a loss prevention officer and mall security officer saw the suspect leaving the Your Independent Grocer store with items under his jacket.

When they tried to stop him, he sprayed them.

Unfortunately for the suspect, the officers persisted, holding him down until RCMP arrived.
