KAMLOOPS — Residents are waking up to a light snowfall in Kamloops.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Mike Gismondi says the snow began to fall around 4 am Saturday.

He says there’s a couple of storms passing through Kamloops right now bringing light snow that should taper off this afternoon.

Gismondi says, “ we’re expecting 5 centimetres total today. Over the highways today we’ve got about 5 centimetres for Helmer Lake area and for the Coquihalla summit we’ve got about 10 cm’s with an additional 5 tonight.”
