KAMLOOPS — It was a lengthy rescue for Kamloops Fire Rescue near Cherry Creek last night.

Captain Wade Lindoff says KFR was called out to the report of a tractor trailer on it’s side in a ditch shortly before 8 PM.

He says, “the driver had his arm pinned under the cab. Rescue 1 attempted to free using various hydraulic tools but it was unsuccessful. They then called in a heavy tow truck and were able to free the driver.”

Lindoff says it took over two hours for the crew to remove the male driver who was eventually sent to hospital with arm injuries that are not life threatening.
