First babies of 2016 born in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — New Years Day will mark a special place in the lives of two new mothers.

Kamloops mom, Lauren and Cole Martin, welcomed her firstborn daughter – Harper Noelle Martin into the world at 12:35 AM weighing 7lbs, 15oz.

Also at exactly 12:35 Megan Ogilvie of Dallas welcomed her second born daughter – Ava Mary Ogilvie, weighing 8lbs, 7oz.

Both moms and babies are doing well.

Staff at Royal Inland Hospital helped deliver the two New Year’s babies who were the first to be born acorss the Interior Health Authority in 2016.
