KAMLOOPS — The first privately-sponsored Syrian refugee family to arrive in Kamloops will be on our doorstep this week.

Heidi Coleman of the group Refugees and Friends Together says the family will arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

“It’s one family with three kids – I’m not sure the ages,” said Coleman. “They’ve been given warm clothes and even though they’ve been in Eastern Canada where there’s no snow, they have been given the appropriate clothing to arrive in Kamloops.”
