Where to dispose of your real Christmas tree

KAMLOOPS — With Christmas festivities winding down, residents are reminded of a number of locations where they can dispose their real Christmas trees.

Glen Farrow is the Environment Services Manager, with the City of Kamloops and says the most popular drop off locations are at the yard waste sites on Bunker Road, the Barnhartvale Landfill and Cinnamon Ridge. 

Please ensure your tree is clean of any wires, tinsel, decorations, or plastic. 

You can drop off your Christmas tree at these locations:

Albert McGowan Park, 2025 Summit Drive
Barnhartvale Yard Waste Depot, End of Eliza Road
Brocklehurst Park, 2470 Fleetwood Avenue
Cinnamon Ridge Compost Facility
Dallas Fire Hall (#6), 5300 Dallas Drive
Juniper Park, Qu'Appelle Boulevard
Len Haughton Park, Lister Road, Heffley Creek
McArthur Island, 1665 Island Parkway - East of Sports Centre
McGill Rd Yard Waste Depot, Bunker Rd
Rae-Mor Park, Arab Run Road - Rayleigh
