Life-threatening injuries following highway crash

KAMLOOPS — A man is being treated at Royal Inland Hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash early yesterday morning in Valleyview.

The accident happened around 6am, Wednesday December 23, at the intersection of Oriole Road and the East Trans-Canada highway.

Kamloops RCMP say the driver, travelling in the westbound lane, struck the light post, spun back onto the highway and was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Police wouldn’t comment on the extent of his injuries, but say the man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
