KAMLOOPS — Fulton Field is getting busier now that the holiday season is approaching and people are heading home to be with family and friends. And with that comes longer lineups according to airport Manager Fred Legace.

Legace advises travellers to arrive at the airport early, and to take advantage of airline online checkin options to avoid time in long lineups.

He says lineups for security screening are always longer at this time of year, and says people shouldn't try to arrive at the last minute and expect to make their flights.

He says there's nothing worse than being stuck in a line while your flight is heading down the runway.

He says travellers can help themselves by checking the luggage requirements of their airlines, again to avoid last minute delays.

Another reminder for travellers is to make sure they don't have wrapped gifts with their carryon luggage, as they may have to unwrap them for security screeners to see what's inside, again causing delays.
