KAMLOOPS — This weekend is considered to be one of the busiest of the holiday season for Operation Red Nose in Kamloops.

Many Christmas parties have booked safe rides home in advance with Operation Red Nose.

The service is in need of extra volunteers this Saturday night.

The by donation program provides party goers with an alternative ride home during a season of festivities.

The service runs from now until New Year's Eve.

Anyone interested in participating is asked to go to the RCMP office on Battle Street to fill out the volunteer application form.

All the proceeds raised from Operation Red Nose goes toward amateur athletes in Kamloops.

Last holiday season the group provided 1,265 rides and are hopeful to surpass the 13-hundred mark this year.

If you need a safe ride home you can call ORN at (250)372-5110
