Kamloops athlete wins gold at World Age Group trampoline championship

ODENSE, DENMARK - 12-year old Gavin Dodd from Kamloops won gold Saturday for Canada in the 11-12 age group in double mini-trampoline at the 2015 Tampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competition in Odense, Denmark.

Dodd laid down two of the more difficult passes of the group to finish on top of the podium.




"I was really nervous but excited that I got to compete in the competition", said Dodd, who trains at the Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Centre.

Dodd, who is competing in his first World Age Group Competition said, "It was really cool to be able to win the medal and just really cool to see how everything worked (at an international competition)"
