Max Patterson scored his third goal of the season ---- but it was the only offence for the Kootenay Ice in a 4-1 loss to the Kelowna Rockets.

15-year old Patterson is an Ice rookie and the son of Kamloops Storm coach and former Blazers player Ed Patterson.

Rourke Chartier made up for lost time for the Rockets.

Chartier scored a hattrick in his first game back after missing 19 with an injury.

In Vancouver the Giants shutout the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-0.

Medicine Hat will be here Saturday to play the Blazers on the annual teddy bear night.
